Nightfall is a first-person survival and base-defense game set in a dangerous, war-scarred land where darkness is not just the absence of light — it is a force that empowers the wicked.
You are not a hero. You are not chosen. You are an ordinary villager — untrained, unproven, and just as afraid as everyone else. But when the ogres come under the cover of night and your neighbors cower behind locked doors, you are the one who chooses to stand. That single decision changes everything.

Every night, ogres descend upon the village in coordinated, relentless assaults — growing stronger, more numerous, and more aggressive with each passing darkness, fueled by a corruption that has long poisoned the land.
Your mission is not glory. It is endurance. Survive seven nights. Defend what little your village has left. Lead those willing to fight. And on the final night, face the ogre leader himself — because if he falls, the rest retreat. If he doesn't, nothing else matters.
The full truth of this land, its history, and what your victory truly means... is a story still waiting to be told.

๐ How It Plays
Eternum: Nightfall runs on a tense, repeating cycle across seven nights:
โ๏ธ Day Phase — Prepare or Perish The sun is your only safe window. Use it wisely. Gather resources like wood, stone, and rare ores scattered across the land. Build and upgrade your defenses. Craft weapons, armor, and tools at the crafting bench. Speak to NPCs, assign them roles, and steel yourself for what's coming. You only have 12 in-game hours — and they go fast.
๐ Evening Transition — Commit to the Fight As the sun sets, you choose to sleep for 4 hours. It's not rest — it's resolve. When you wake, the night has begun and there is no going back.
๐ Night Phase — Defend or Die Each night is divided into 5 escalating enemy waves. Ogres spawn and attack with coordinated aggression, targeting your village structures and your NPC defenders. You fight alongside those defenders — but they can fall, and every loss weakens your line for the nights ahead. Between waves, you have a short window to recover. The night does not end until all five waves are cleared.
๐ Recovery Phase — Breathe, Then Begin Again Rest for 2 hours. Then the day returns, and the cycle starts over. Seven nights. One shot at ending it.

โ๏ธ Win & Lose
To win: Reach Night 7, Wave 5 — and defeat the ogre leader. With him gone, the remaining ogres retreat and the village finally sees peace.
You lose if: You die, your central village structure is destroyed, or your base is fully overrun. Your NPC defenders are not required to survive — but losing them makes every subsequent night significantly harder. Protect them when you can.

- Interactable and pickable objects — with smart cursor feedback
- Open terrain environment — featuring mountains, forests, trails, stone structures, and wildlife
- Sprint speed lines and dynamic FOV for immersive movement
- HydrationBar — Stay hydrated at 100%. The world is thirsty work.
- CaloriesBar — Your hunger maxes at 2,000 calories. Keep yourself fed!
- HealthBar — 100 HP standing between you and death.
- PlayerState — You are now mortal. Track your Health, Hunger, and Hydration — manage them or face the consequences.
- CraftingSystem — Craft your way to survival! Access the crafting menu and build tools to help you endure the world.
- TrashSlot — Done with an item? Toss it. A confirmation popup keeps you from accidentally throwing away something important.
- EquipSystem — Quick Slots are now always on your screen — no need to open your inventory. Equip items and see their 3D model appear in your hand instantly.
- EquipableItem — Equippable items now have full animation support and a dedicated hit function for interacting with the world.
- ChoppableTree — Trees now fight back (sort of). Each tree has its own health, interaction range, chopping permission, and costs you calories every swing. Chop it down and watch it fall.
- ResourceHealthBar — See exactly how much health a resource has left while you're working on it.
- GlobalState — A global system that tracks and stores the state of world resources, keeping everything in sync.
โ ๏ธ Beta Notice: Nightfall is currently in Beta. There is no main menu screen yet — the game loads directly into the world. Many systems are still being developed and expanded. This release exists to gather feedback and test core mechanics. It is not a fully complete experience yet.
